The Swiss traditional manufacture Trauffer produces more than 200 different wooden figures: cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, dogs, crocodiles, ducks and other animals and characters. It all began in 1938 with the cows, which remain even today the company’s best-selling wooden toys. The 3rd generation family-run business, which is based in the Bernese Oberland, produces more than 400,000 figures yearly, including 150,000 cows.
- All animals and characters are handmade and mostly hand painted. - All toys are safe for children of all ages, as they are sweat and saliva resistant. The paints are water-based and regularly controlled for toxins. - The toys are all produced in Switzerland and subject to the guidelines of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (controlled by the Cantonal Laboratory Basel-Land).
